KD-216S is used for fault testing and route identification of various copper/aluminum power cables and communication cables from 380V up to 380kV. It detects open/short circuit, high/low resistance, grounding, flashover and poor contact faults for power and telecommunication maintenance.

Profile:

An integrated high-voltage generator supporting multiple test methods and adjustable HV output. It features stable energy storage, wide cable compatibility and high-precision measurement, ideal for full-range cable fault testing and pre-location.

Features:

  1. Supports multiple test methods: low-voltage pulse, impulse flashover, triple pulse, multiple pulse and velocity measurement.
  2. Wide cable voltage compatibility from 380V to 380kV for various power and communication cables.
  3. Selectable output high voltage: 0–8kV, 0–16kV, 0–32kV with corresponding built-in capacitance switching.
  4. Three high-voltage output modes: DC, single pulse and periodic pulse with adjustable time parameters.
  5. High test resolution of 0.5m and blind zone ≤0.5m for accurate and reliable fault detection.
  6. Built-in high-energy storage capacitor with maximum energy ≥1024J for stable impulse testing.
  7. Automatic and manual impulse modes for flexible operation in different testing scenarios.
