Profile:

The KD2678 ground resistance tester is used to measure the grounding resistance inside electrical equipment. It reflects the (contact) resistance between the exposed conductive parts of the electrical equipment and the main grounding terminal of the electrical equipment. To eliminate the influence of contact resistance on the test, the ground resistance tester adopts a four-terminal measurement method. That is, a current is applied between the exposed conductive part of the electrical appliance under test and the main grounding terminal, and then the voltage at these two ends is measured to calculate the resistance value.

The KD2678 ground resistance tester is designed in accordance with international and domestic safety standards such as GB, IEC, ISO, BS, UL, and JIS. The grounding resistance index is one of the important indicators for measuring the safety performance of various electrical equipment. It measures the resistance of the grounding circuit under a large current (25A or 10A), and is also a test of the grounding circuit's ability to withstand large currents, in order to avoid personal injury when the insulation performance declines (or is damaged).
