High-resistance cable faults are often challenging to locate due to weak and unstable fault signals. Accurate fault analysis and appropriate testing methods are essential for efficient and reliable fault location.
In this field case, our engineers carried out fault location on a 35 kV single-core power cable with a total length of approximately 2 km. Through systematic fault analysis, pre-location, and on-site pinpointing, the fault position was accurately identified, supporting subsequent repair work.
Every field project adds valuable experience. Through this Field Case series, we will continue to share real-world cable fault location cases, testing techniques, and practical insights from the field.
