KDJB-SA60 Handheld Optical Digital Universal Test Analyzer IEC 61850 Compliant Testing

KDJB-SA60 Handheld Optical Digital Universal Test Analyzer IEC 61850 Compliant Testing

Applications:

The KDJB-SA60 is designed for the rapid analysis, testing, and commissioning of optical digital network communication systems in smart substations based on the IEC 61850 standard. It serves as an essential tool for on-site periodic inspections, troubleshooting, and secondary equipment maintenance. Key applications include:

  •

Protection Relay Commissioning: Comprehensive testing modules for AC test, state sequence, differential protection, distance and zero-sequence protection, and whole-group testing.

  •

Network Protocol Analysis: Acting as a flexible simulator that can be arbitrarily configured as an IEC 61850 9-2 SMV sender/receiver or a GOOSE sender/receiver.

  •

Substation Signal Verification: Conducting phase verification , polarity testing for instrument transformers, and time synchronization detection.

  •

Network Stress & Security Audits: Simulating abnormal traffic and packets to test the resilience of substation IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices).

Profile:

The KDJB-SA60 is a highly integrated, handheld instrument that seamlessly combines an optical digital network signal analyzer with an optical digital protection relay tester into a single device.

Built upon a high-performance SoC hardware platform and running a stable, secure embedded Linux operating system, it features a highly responsive capacitive touchscreen. This analyzer is uniquely tailored to handle the complex data environments of modern smart substations. It allows field engineers to directly import Substation Configuration Description (SCD) files via a USB drive—fully supporting massive SCD configurations from 500kV to 750kV substations—and translates abstract network data streams into intuitive, graphical visualizer interfaces. Equipped with a high-capacity lithium battery, it ensures long-lasting, untethered operation during intensive field testing.

Features:

1. Full IEC 61850 Standard Alignment & Configuration

  •

Versatile SMV & GOOSE Mapping: Flexibly configures as an IEC 61850 9-2 SMV or GOOSE transmitting and receiving node.

  •

Robust SCD File Management: Supports direct importing of large-scale SCD files (up to 750kV) and features a built-in SCD comparison tool to visually pinpoint configuration discrepancies between two files.

  •

Graphical Virtual Terminals: Provides intuitive graphical displays for virtual terminals, mapping out complex, abstract digital data flows clearly.

2. Advanced Diagnostic & Monitoring Tools

  •

In-Line Serial Monitoring (Sniffer Mode): Allows serial connection listening to parse and analyze network data packets in real time without interrupting ongoing live substation data transmissions.

  •

Multi-Protocol Legacy & Standard Support: Supports FT3, FT3 extended, and DL/T 282 packet outputs with customizable UART (2M to 10M) and Manchester (5M to 20M) encoding.

  •

Anomaly & Stress Simulation: Features network stress testing and packet anomaly injection to rigorously evaluate IED stability under worst-case network conditions.

3. Comprehensive Physical & Time Testing

  •

Integrated Optical Power Meter: Built-in capability to measure physical signal strength across optical network and serial ports.

  •

Time Synchronization & Master Clock Output: Parses incoming timing signals to calculate precise time deviations; also functions as a clock source, outputting optical IRIG-B(DC) and optical PPS signals.

  •

High Efficiency & Autonomy: Features intelligent test template editing to save custom profiles for repetitive testing. Includes an internal lithium battery providing over 6 hours of continuous operation.
