System function
The device adopts the method of "imaging method + traveling wave test + comprehensive diagnosis of multiple electrical parameters" to measure the effective cross-sectional area of the conductor, long conductor length, long conductor DC resistance, unit length conductor DC resistance, long cable capacitance, unit length cable capacitance, and ambient temperature equivalent.
Imaging method to measure conductor cross-sectional area: through image analysis to achieve accurate measurement of the effective cross-sectional area of the cable end face, can be carried out for various types of cables, compared with the traditional use of calipers to measure "diameter", improve the accuracy.
Traveling wave measurement conductor length: by injecting a low-voltage pulse signal to one end of the cable, the pulse signal propagates to the other end at a certain speed v, due to impedance mismatch, pulse reflection, pulse propagation time △t can be obtained through the high-speed counter, and the test cable length L can be calculated by the formula. Do not use this method when measuring a cable that is shorter than 20 m or longer than 800 m.
Measuring conductor DC resistance: The DC resistance of the cable is measured by the precision resistance test module, and the unit length resistance is calculated by the nominal length. The actual length of the conductor can be calculated by comparing the resistance value of the long conductor with that of the intercepted conductor.
Measure the capacitance of the cable (optional) : Measure the capacitance of the cable through the precision capacitance test module, and calculate the actual length of the cable by comparing the capacitance of the long cable with that of the intercepted cable.
