The internal storage and computing circuits enable the machine to automatically measure the absorption ratio (R1min/R15s) and polarization index (R10min/R1min).

The KD508 high-voltage insulated megohmmeter uses a high-voltage inverter circuit to invert DC power supply into rated high voltage outputs of 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, and 10000V, which are applied to both ends of the tested object. A new voltage and current sampling circuit is used to divide the voltage at both ends of the tested object and the current flowing through the tested object, and the digital result is output to a high-precision A/D converter. The A/D conversion result is then output to the MCU circuit for processing. And the resistance value and R1min/R15s, R10min/R1min are directly read by the large LCD display screen. The MCU circuit stores multiple sets of R15S, R60S, R600S measurement data, which can be manually retrieved and read, and then R1min/R15s, R10min/R1min calculations can be performed.

The instrument has a self calibration function. Long press the stop button on the standby interface and follow the prompts to complete the calibration. When the instrument's testing accuracy is not accurate enough, this option can be used (follow the prompts).

The instrument is controlled by a microcomputer and has a Chinese operating interface, which can automatically measure absorption ratio and polarization index; It has functional options such as withstand voltage testing and rapid testing.
