KDYD2830 winding interturn impulse voltage tester is suitable for winding interturn insulation detection of high voltage motors, small and medium-sized motors and DC motors with test voltage 30kV and below. It can also be used to detect the insulation between turns of transformer winding and electrical coil winding. Due to the motor and transformer windings due to the insulation structure and insulation materials are inconsistent, especially the operator's different technological level, in the winding, wiring, scraping, joint end shaping, handling and other processes will cause different degrees of insulation damage, so that the winding there are various forms of inter-turn insulation failure, therefore, inter-turn insulation is the weak link of the motor and transformer.

KDYD2830 winding interturn impulse voltage tester is based on the basic principle of detecting the symmetrical balance of the impedance of the subject. The equivalent overvoltage simulation test of the motor and transformer windings is carried out by using the shockwave comparison method with high frequency and high voltage pulses, and the waveform is observed and analyzed by oscilloscope. The circuit between turns and various impedance unbalance faults can be measured directly, quickly and correctly.
