General safety technical requirements for ultra-low frequency high voltage generators
02 Aug-2024
insulation resistance
The insulation resistance between the input power terminal and any accessible metal parts of the ultra-low frequency high voltage generator should be greater than 5M Ω.

Insulation strength
The input power terminal and any accessible metal parts of the generator can withstand a 2.0kV power frequency voltage for 1 minute. The ultra-low frequency high-voltage generator should be able to withstand 1.1 times the rated output power generated by itself for 10 minutes without obvious discharge.

Indication mark
The ultra-low frequency high-voltage generator must have output voltage (amplitude and polarity) indicators, output current indicators, and corresponding setting devices. The metal chassis should be equipped with grounding terminals and clear markings.

Output voltage and waveform
The peak voltage output of the ultra-low frequency high-voltage generator should be adjustable within the rated voltage range, and the output voltage and waveform should meet the following requirements:
a) The peak instability of the output voltage is less than 1%;
b) The output voltage frequency instability is less than 3%; cin.com
c) The waveform distortion rate of the output sine voltage is less than 5%;
d) The polarity conversion time of the cosine square wave voltage output shall not exceed 10ms;
e) The absolute error of the positive/negative half cycle of the output voltage is less than 0.5s, and the peak deviation of the positive/negative half wave is less than 5%.

Measurement uncertainty
The measurement uncertainty of the measurement circuit that outputs peak voltage should be less than 3%.

Continuous normal working hours
Under the specified working conditions, the continuous normal working time of the ultra-low frequency high voltage generator's high voltage output terminal connected to the rated capacitance of the test object at the rated output voltage should be greater than 120 minutes. The noise level during continuous normal operation shall not exceed 65dB.

Protective device
The ultra-low frequency high voltage generator should be equipped with automatic protection devices such as overvoltage, overcurrent, and zero start interlock. In abnormal working conditions, the automatic protection device should automatically turn off the high voltage output.

Control device
The input power supply of the ultra-low frequency high voltage generator must be connected through a switch, and there must be clear indications for the power on/off state. The high-voltage output of the generator should be controlled through a switch, and there must be clear indication of the high-voltage working state and non working state.

Under the specified working conditions, the high-voltage output terminal of the generator is connected to a load test sample with rated capacitance (such as a power capacitor), and there is no damage when the load test sample breaks down.

The ultra-low frequency high-voltage generator should have an automatic grounding discharge device, and the residual charge on the test sample should be automatically discharged within 5 seconds under the rated capacitance and rated output voltage.
